Subtitle Editor es una herramienta que nos permite editar los subtítulos de una película con gran facilidad, ya sea modificando o corrigiendo los ya existentes, o creando unos nuevos. Además, el programa nos muestra las ondas de sonido de la grabación, lo que hace bastante fácil la tarea de sincronizar los subtítulos con las voces.

Subtitle Editor está desarrollado en GTK +2 y disponible para sistemas GNU/Linux y BSD.

Hoy se ha liberado una nueva versión del programa, concretamente la 0.36.0 (en el repositorio de Ubuntu Karmic Koala contamos con la versión 0.30.0), con la siguiente lista de cambios:

  • Fix bug #14651 : Subtitle sorting option. (see sortsubtitles plugin)

  • Fix bug #15084 : default to the document format when saving translations
  • Fix bug #15095 : gracefully exit if e.g. subtitleeditor.ui is missing
  • Fix bug #15032 : Update duration value after EOS signal (waveform generator)
  • Fix bug #15032 : stuck in infinite loop for bad duration and other problems with duration (waveform)
